The Chicago Waldorf School volunteered in Costa Rica this last May of 2009. A wonderful and committed group of 17 students and 2 professors made a big difference in the Indigenous Community of Bambu in the Bribri area. For five days, they worked hard to remodel the entire playroom at the retirement home, prepare the land for the future Farmers Market (thanks to a grant Tropical Adventures received with the assistance of Children Inc,) built the stands where the products are going to be exhibited, shared with the community of Amubre (donating 20 soccer balls for the Sport and Cultural Group of Amubre and playing a soccer game with them) and finally, they enjoyed their time with the loving members of Bambu at the exotic Cultural Center. Tropical Adventures is more than grateful for the work this beautiful group of students did in Bambu. Our non-profit has worked in this area for almost 5 years already, so we have a very special appreciation for them. To the students and professor of the Chicago Waldorf School, Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work. We love you and wish we could have more groups like yours. The best to all of you. Enjoy and Pura Vida! Click here to watch the video!
